Instead of going back to a nice, warm bed the morning of our first snow of the season (November 7th, 2008), something forced me to grab the gear and head out to the arboretum. This is the pay-off. My favorite red oak, now absent of leaves, had taken on a new look. Now I am anxious for spring and summer to come around again so I can complete the cycle!
